The Washington Redskins announced Wednesday that they’ve re-signed TE Vernon Davis to a three-year contract.

  • According to Ian Rapoport, Davis receives a three-year, $15 million contract from Washington.

Davis, 32, is a former first-round pick of the 49ers back in 2006. He spent over nine years in San Francisco before he was traded to the Broncos ahead of last year’s deadline.

The Redskins later signed him to a one-year, $2.4 million contract last March.

In 2016, Davis appeared in all 16 games for the Redskins and caught 44 passes for 583 yards receiving and two touchdowns. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 20 tight end out of 66 qualifying players.
