Redskins Re-Signing QB Colt McCoy

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that the Redskins are re-signing QB Colt McCoy.

  • Albert Breer mentions that McCoy will receive a one-year contract from the Redskins.

Recent reports had said that the two sides were still in contact with one another, but it was hard to gauge Washington’s level of interest in him being back.

McCoy, 28, signed on with Washington as an unrestricted free agent in April of last year, and actually played better than expected for them before he went down with a neck injury that led to him being placed on season-ending injured reserve.

In 2014, appeared in five games for Washington last season and threw for 1,057 yards while completing 71.1 percent of his passes to go along with four touchdowns and three interceptions.
