Redskins Rookie DE Jonathan Allen Out For Season With Lisfranc Injury

John Keim of ESPN is reporting that Redskins first-round DE Jonathan Allen will miss the rest of the 2017 season after he suffered a Lisfranc injury in Sunday’s win over the 49ers.

You can expect the Redskins to place him on injured reserve in the coming days and add someone to their roster.

Allen, 22, was selected in the first-round of this year’s draft by the Redskins. He signed a four-year, $11.596 million contract that included a $6.573 million signing bonus.

Allen stands to make base salaries of $465,000 and $992,118 over the first two years of the agreement.

In 2017, Allen appeared in five games for the Redskins and recorded 10 tackles and a sack. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 28 interior defender out of 124 qualifying players.
