Redskins Roster Cuts Including TE D.J. Williams

The Washington Redskins have begun the process of cutting their roster down to 53 players ahead of tomorrow’s deadline.

The Redskins have waived or released:

The Redskins brought Williams in shortly after the news that they had lost both Niles Paul and Logan Paulsen for the season.

Williams, 26, is a former fifth-round pick of the Green Bay Packers back in 2011. The Packers placed him on waivers at the start of the 2013 season.

Williams later caught on with the Patriots, but was once again waived before the start of the 2014 regular season.

The Buccaneers signed him to a contract in November last year. However, he was once again placed on waivers just a few weeks later.

In 2013, Williams appeared in nine games for New England, but didn’t record a single reception.
