Redskins S Duke Ihenacho Likely Out 6-8 Weeks With Fractured Wrist

Aaron Wilson of the National Football Post reports that Redskins SS Duke Ihenacho will require surgery for a fractured wrist that he sustained during Sunday’s game.

  • According to Wilson, Ihenacho will be sidelined 6-8 weeks while recovering from the injury.

With Ihenacho out of the lineup, Washington is likely to turn to either Jeron Johnson or Trent Robinson at strong safety.

Ihenacho, 26, re-signed with the Redskins on a one-year exclusive rights deal worth $660,000 back in March. He’ll be a restricted free agent next year.

During Sunday’s game, Ihenacho recorded three tackles for Washington.
