Jackson, 28, has now been suspended on four separate occasions, so it’s not much of a stretch to say his time in the NFL has likely come to an end.
The NFL reinstated Jackson from an indefinite suspension back in May. Washington initially released Jackson upon being reinstated , but he was later re-signed to a one-year contract.
- Adam Caplan mentions that Jackson had a $730,000 base salary and counted $570,000 against the team’s salary cap.
Jackson was competing for a roster spot in the Redskins’ secondary that consists of: Ryan Clark, Brandon Meriweather, Phillip Thomas and Bacarri Rambo.
