Redskins Select Virginia Tech CB Adonis Alexander In Sixth Round

The Washington Redskins officially selected Virginia Tech CB Adonis Alexander in the sixth round of this year’s Supplemental draft.

This means that the Redskins will use their 2019 sixth-round pick on Alexander.

On Tuesday, Mike Garafolo reported that NFL teams have received a clean drug test from Alexander that was administered this week and he had passed tests over the last eight months.

Alexander is looking to show that his 2016 arrest for marijuana was an isolated incident.

At his Pro Day, Alexander measured 6020/195 pounds and posted a 40-yard dash time of 4.61 to go along with 7.18 (3 cone), 4.37 (short shuttle), 35.5 inches (vertical) and 10-feet-4-inch (broad jump).

Alexander played three seasons at Virginia Tech and recorded 125 tackles, 4.5 tackles for a loss, one sack, seven interceptions, 17 pass defenses, and a forced fumble over the course of 32 games.
