Redskins Sign CB Robertson Daniel To Practice Squad, Cut CB Lloyd Carrington

The Washington Redskins have signed CB Robertson Daniel to their practice squad on Monday and waived CB Lloyd Carrington from the unit, according to Master Tesfatsion.

The Redskins’ practice squad now consists of:

  1. OT Isaiah Williams
  2. WR Maurice Harris
  3. LB Jason Fanaika
  4. WR Kendal Thompson
  5. TE Wes Saxton
  6. RB Mack Brown
  7. DE Bobby Richardson
  8. C Ronald Patrick
  9. DB Tye Smith
  10. CB Robertson Daniel

Daniel, 24, originally signed on with the Raiders as an undrafted free agent out of BYU back in May of last year. He was unfortunately waived coming out of the preseason but was later signed to the Packers’ practice squad.

Green Bay would eventually call him up towards the end of last year. However, he was among their final roster cuts coming out of the preseason. Daniel briefly returned to the Packers’ practice squad before being cut loose last week.

During his college career at BYU, Daniel recorded 112 tackles, one sack, three interceptions, two forced fumbles, two recoveries and 19 pass defenses.

Carrington, 23, wound up signing a three-year, $1.62 million contract with the Redskins as an undrafted free agent out of Arizona State back in May. He was unfortunately waived coming out of the preseason and wasn’t immediately signed to their practice squad.

During his college career, Carrington recorded 139 tackles, four sacks, three interceptions, two forced fumbles, a touchdown and 12 pass defenses over the course of 44 games.
