Redskins Sign Six Draft Picks Including First-Round WR Josh Doctson

The Washington Redskins announced that they’ve signed six of the seven draft picks to contracts on Monday including first-round WR Josh Doctson.

  • Washington also signed Su’a Cravens, Matt Ioannidis, Nate Sudfeld, Steven Daniels and Keith Marshall.

Doctson, 23, was taken with the No. 22 overall pick, which was a bit of a surprise pick for Washington. However, this gives them a long-term receiver to develop and some options when it comes to keeping veteran receivers DeSean Jackson and Pierre Garcon at their current salaries in the coming years.

According to OverTheCap.com, Doctson receives a four-year contract worth $10,049,644 to go along with a signing bonus of $5,508,832. The contract will include a fifth-year option for the team to consider in 2019.

During his four-year college career, Doctson caught 214 passes for 3,177 yards receiving (14.8 YPR) and 34 touchdowns.
