Redskins Sign Former Seahawks TE Anthony McCoy, Waive CB DeShazor Everett

The Washington Redskins announced Monday that they have signed former Seahawks TE Anthony McCoy and placed CB DeShazor Everett on waivers.

McCoy, 27, is a former sixth-round pick of the Seahawks back in 2010. Unfortunately for him, he’s dealt with injuries in recent, which has prevented him from appearing in an NFL game since 2012.

McCoy was among the team’s roster cuts this past weekend, as the Seahawks cut their roster down to 53 players.

Last year, McCoy suffered a torn left Achilles’ tendon back in July that cost him the entire 2014 season. Before that, McCoy missed all of the 2013 season with a torn right Achilles, so hopefully he’s able to stay healthy and put together a full season next year.
