Redskins Sign LB Nico Johnson To Their Practice Squad

The Washington Redskins announced that they’ve signed LB Nico Johnson to their practice squad on Friday.

Johnson, 24, was taken in the fourth round of the 2013 NFL Draft by the Chiefs. He was able to make the team’s 53-man roster during his rookie season, but was later cut loose the following year.

The Bengals wound up signing him off of the Chiefs’ practice squad, but he unfortunately was among their final roster cuts from a few weeks back.

In 2014, Johnson appeared in 11 games and recorded 15 total tackles.
