David Canter, the agent for P Blake Clingan, announced via his Twitter account that his client has signed with the Washington Redskinsoon Tuesday.
Clingan, 25, was an undrafted free agent out of UCF. He signed a one-year contract with the Lions last year, but was released at the start of the season after he was unable to beat out P Sam Martin for the job.
The Redskins currently have Robert Malone as their punter so it appears as though Clingan will be given another opportunity to compete for a job in training camp and the preseason.
