Redskins Sign P Tress Way To A Five-Year Deal

The Washington Redskins announced Saturday that they have reached an agreement with P Tress Way on a five-year deal.

  • According to Rapoport, Way’s new contract is worth $9.4 million and includes $2.95 million guaranteed and a $1.25 million signing bonus.

Way, 25, wound up signing on with the Bears as an undrafted free agent back in 2013. He spent a year in Chicago before he was waived in August of 2014 and later claimed off of waivers by the Redskins.

In 2015, Way appeared in all 16 games for the Redskins and totaled 2,966 punt yards on 70 attempts to go along with seven touchbacks. He had a net punting average of 39.8 and 21 punts downed inside the 20-yard line.
