Redskins Sign Sixth-Round Pick RB Lache Seastrunk

The Washington Redskins reached an agreement with sixth-round pick RB Lache Seastrunk on a four-year contract, per Aaron Wilson.

  • According to Wilson, Seastrunk’s four-year contract is worth $2.33 million and includes a $110,500 signing bonus.

Seastrunk was a five-star recruit coming out of high school, but he would later transfer to Baylor. He produced 2,189 yards rushing on 289 carries (7.57 YPC) and 18 TDs for the Bears over the course of two years.

It’s interesting to note that Seastrunk had more dropped passes (10) than receptions (9) during his college career.

Redskins HC Jay Gruden recently mentioned that he expects Seastrunk to be used in situations where Alfred Morris needs a breather, which probably isn’t that surprising when you consider his struggles catching the ball out of the backfield.
