Redskins Sign Third-Round Pick OT Morgan Moses

The Washington Redskins announced the signing of third-round pick OT Morgan Moses on Thursday.

Moses was the only draft pick left out of the Redskins’ 2014 draft class who hadn’t signed him rookie contract, so they now have everyone locked up.

Moses’ four-year contract is worth an estimated $3,160,576 and includes a signing bonus of $697,576, according to OverTheCap.com.

Many draft experts believed Moses could come off the board in round two, but he wound up lasting a little longer than that.

He offers great size at 6-foot-6 1/8 and 314 lbs. At Virginia, he started 43 games with 30 of them coming at right tackle. Last season, he allowed just two sacks, so in time he could develop into a solid right tackle for Washington.

Moses will still need to beat out Tyler Polumbus for the starting job, but it appears as though Polumbus is in good position to win the job during OTAs and training camp.
