The Washington Redskins officially signed WR Dez Stewart to a contract on Monday.
The team also brought in former Ravens WR Marlon Brown for a workout, but it looks like they preferred to go with Stewart.
Stewart wound up going undrafted out of Ohio Dominican over a month ago, but signed on with the Buccaneers before he was waived with the injury designation a few weeks later.
After clearing waivers, he reverted to the Buccaneers’ injured reserve before he was cut loose in June.
During his four-year college career, Stewart totaled 196 receptions for 3,197 yards receiving (16.3 YPR) and 25 touchdowns. He also contributed 416 kick return yards and 171 punt return yards to go along with one return touchdown.
