Jerry Rice Jr. posted a picture of a signed contract with the Washington Redskins on his Instagram account Thursday.
“This is an amazing day and I’m excited to get back to work to help the Redskins get back to the promised land,” Rice wrote in the Instagram post. “They gave me an opportunity and best believe they will get 110% out of me!“
Rice Jr went undrafted out of UCLA/UNLV, but he managed to tryout for the Baltimore Ravens and the San Francisco 49ers this summer.
Washington currently has 12 other receivers on their 90-man roster, so the odds of Rice Jr making the 53-man roster are very slim.
He recorded just 19 receptions for 142 yards receiving and no touchdowns during his two years in college. However, he managed to catch a touchdown for UNLV in the Heart of Dallas Bowl last season.
