Redskins Signing CB Orlando Scandrick To Two-Year Deal Worth Up To $10M

Mike Garafolo of NFL Media reports that the Redskins have reached an agreement with veteran CB Orlando Scandrick on a two-year contract worth up to $10 million.

It’s worth mentioning that signing Scandrick to a contract won’t impact the team’s 2019 compensatory picks, given that he was released this offseason.

Scandrick, 31, is a former fifth-round pick of the Cowboys back in 2008. He was in the fourth year of his five-year, $20 million contract and set to make base salaries of $3 million and $4 million over the final two years of the agreement when the Cowboys designated him as a post-June 1 release.

In 2017, Scandrick recorded 38 tackles, no interceptions and three pass defenses for the Cowboys over the course of 11 games before he was placed on injured reserve. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 113 overall cornerback out of 121 qualifiers.

We had him featured in our Top 50 Available 2018 NFL Free Agents list.
