The Redskins are signing DT Stacy McGee to a five-year, $25 million contract on Thursday, according to Mike Garafolo.
It was reported yesterday that several teams were interested in signing McGee, so it appears the Redskins wanted to move quickly to get him under contract.
McGee, 27, is a former sixth-round pick by the Raiders in the 2013 NFL Draft. He finished his four-year, $2,238,680 rookie contract with Oakland to become an unrestricted free agent.
In 2016, McGee appeared in nine games for the Raiders and recorded 17 total tackles, 2.5 sacks, and two forced fumbles.
We have him featured in our Top 100 – 2017 Free Agents list.
