Redskins Still Interested In Re-Signing TE Chris Cooley

Redskins General Manager Bruce Allen said that there is “absolutely” a chance the team will re-sign TE Chris Cooley, according to the Redskins.

Allen mentioned that team officials will “have a meeting next week” with Cooley.  The Redskins do not have a reliable option behind starter TE Fred Davis, so the move would at least make some sense.  A deal could be finalized by next week in order to avoid guaranteeing Cooley his entire 2012 contract.
