Redskins TE Chris Cooley Could Possibly Be Released

Dan Graziano of ESPN makes the valid argument that TE Chris Cooley could be a candidate for release from the cap-concerned Washington Redskins.

This news comes in light of the recent move of Niles Paul from WR to TE.  Niles Paul has reportedly embraced the move, which crowds the picture at TE.

Chris Cooley, as many fantasy players will know well, had a string of very strong years before running into injury problems.  Fred Davis has filled in more than adequately and become the clear #1 option for the Redskins.  As Cooley still represents over $6.2M against the salary cap, he could either be on his way out, or asked to restructure his contract.
