Redskins To Continue Pursuit Of Cortland Finnegan?

ESPN’s John Clayton, expects the Redskins to continue to pursue free agents like Cortland Finnegan despite the fact that they were forced to give $36 million worth of cap space back to the league.

Due to the over spending in the 2010 season, the Washington does not have as much to work with this year to go after higher end free agents like Finnegan, but Clayton still believes that Redskins Owner, Dan Snyder will be aggressive stating,

“He’ll find a way to get whom he wants in free agency.”

Finnegan has a bad rep of being a rowdy and dirty player, but is a solid defender and good in pass coverage.  It was recently reported that Finnegan was trying to get WR Vincent Jackson to follow each other together to a team as sort of a packaged deal, which would  make sense for the Redskins, as they are also interested in bringing in the Pro Bowl receiver.
