Redskins Unlikely To Get Better Than A Second-Round Pick For QB Kirk Cousins

Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network reports that after polling six NFL GMs regarding the trade of Redskins QB Kirk Cousins, Washington is unlikely to get a first-round pick in return for him this offseason.

Washington is still unlikely to part with Cousins this offseason, but he will now have an opportunity to increase his stock or least the amount of potential trade interest from teams in need of a quarterback.

Cousins, 25, is in the second year of his rookie contract and has extremely reasonable base salaries of $570,000 and $660,000 coming his way in the next two years.

Rich Cimini of ESPN New York mentioned that the Jets could be a potential trade partner for Cousins this offseason.

I’m sure this will be a popular topic in the coming weeks.
