Redskins Waive OLB Gabe Miller & DL Robert Thomas

Update

The Washington Redskins officially announced that they have placed OLB Gabe Miller and DL Robert Thomas on waivers.

Thomas, 23, was promoted from the practice squad just a few days ago as the Redskins got their roster situated before Thursday’s game against the Giants.

There is a chance that he could return to the team’s practice squad if he clears waivers.

The Washington Redskins released OLB Gabe Miller from their roster on Saturday, according to Brett Tessler.

Miller, 26, is a former fifth-round pick of the Kansas City Chiefs. He spent a little over a year with the Chiefs before he later joined the Seahawks and Bears.

Miller previously played tight end and suspended four games for violating the league’s performance-enhancing drugs policy.

The Redskins added Miller to their practice squad last December and later signed him to a reserve/future contract in January. This year, he has appeared in four games and recorded just a single tackle.
