Redskins Waive OLB Jackson Jeffcoat From I.R. With Settlement

Redskins HC Jay Gruden told reporters on Wednesday that they’ve waived OLB Jackson Jeffcoat from the injured reserve list with a settlement, per Zac Boyer.

Washington just placed Jeffcoat on season-ending injured reserve to make room for OLB Houston Bateswho was promoted from their practice squad.

Jeffcoat, 24, originally signed on with the Seahawks as an undrafted free agent out of Texas back in May of last year. However, he was cut last year and later signed to the Redskins’ practice squad in September of last year.

This season, Jeffcoat appeared in six games and recorded four tackles and a forced fumble for Washington.
