Redskins Waive P Sam Irwin-Hill

The Washington Redskins announced Wednesday that they’ve placed P Sam Irwin-Hill on waivers.

This comes shortly after the Redskins used a 2019 sixth-round pick to select Virginia Tech CB Adonis Alexander in this year’s supplemental draft.

Irwin-Hill, 27, wound up signing on with the Cowboys as an undrafted free agent out of Arkansas back in April of last year. He was, unfortunately, waived at the start of the 2017 season.

Washington signed Irwin-Hill to a contract this past March.

During his college career at Arkansas, Irwin-Hill totaled 4,365 punt yards on 104 attempts (42 YPA) over the course of two seasons and 25 games.
