The Washington Redskins are waiving QB Nate Sudfeld on Saturday, according to John Keim. According to Keim, the Redskins are still hoping to sign him to their practice squad if he clears waivers.

Sudfeld, 23, is a former sixth-round pick by the Redskins in the 2016 NFL Draft. He was entering the second year of a four-year, $2.47 million rookie contract and was set to make a base salary of $540,000 this season.

He has yet to appear in an NFL game.

during his four-year college career at Indiana, Sudfeld recorded 593 completions on 983 pass attempts (60.3 percent) for 7,879 yards, 61 touchdowns, and 20 interceptions.
