Redskins Worked Out 3 Players Including DL Jaye Howard

According to Howard Balzer, the Washington Redskins worked out three players on Tuesday including DL Jaye Howard, DL Arthur Jones, and DL Cam Thomas.

Of this group, the Redskins signed Jones to their active roster.

Howard, 28, is a former fourth-round pick of the Seahawks back in 2012. He lasted just over a year in Seattle before he was waived and later claimed off of waivers by the Chiefs.

Howard re-signed with Kansas City last year and was in the final year of his two-year, $10 million contract and set to make a base salary of $3.7 million for the 2017 season when the Chiefs cut him loose.

The Bears signed Hoard to a contract a few days after this year’s draft only to cut him loose coming out of the preseason.

Howard has previously worked out for the 49ers and Raiders but did not receive an offer from them.

In 2016, Howard appeared in eight games for the Chiefs and recorded 24 tackles, one sack and a forced fumble. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 55 interior defensive lineman out of 127 qualifying players.
