Redskins Worked Out Seven Players

The Washington Redskins brought in seven free agent for workouts on Tuesday including CB Dexter McDougle, according to Howard Balzer.

The full list of tryouts for the Redskins includes:

1. CB Alex Carter (signed PS)
2. CB Doran Grant
3. CB Dexter McDougle
4. CB Sojourn Shelton
5. RB Russell Hansbrough (signed PS)
6. S Harlan Miller (signed active roster)
7. RB Akrum Wadley

McDougle, 27, is a former third-round pick of the Jets back in 2014. The Jets waived him coming out of the preseason back in 2016 and later signed him to their practice squad.

The Eagles would acquire McDougle from the Jets in exchange for S Terrence Brooks during the preseason last year. However, Philadelphia later reversed course and waived him.

McDougle has had brief stints with the Saints, Jaguars and Lions the past year or so before returning to the Eagles last month.

In 2018, McDougle has appeared in two games and recorded five tackles and a pass defense for the Eagles.
