Redskins Worked Out RBs Ronnie Hillman & Daryl Richardson

According to Field Yates of ESPN, the Redskins worked out free agent RBs Ronnie Hillman and Daryl Richardson on Monday.

This comes after Rob Kelley suffered a high-ankle sprain and an MCL sprain Week 10 against the Vikings.

Hillman, 26, is a former third-round pick of the Broncos back in 2012. He played out his rookie contract before re-signing with Denver on a one-year, $2 million contract this past April. However, the Broncos cut him loose at the start of last season.

The Vikings later signed him to a contract after sustaining some injuries at running back. However, he was waived and claimed by the Chargers soon after.

Hillman signed on with the Cowboys this past July but wound up being released coming out of the preseason.

In 2016, Hillman appeared in eight games for and ran for 131 yards on 41 carries (3.2 YPC) to go along with seven receptions for 93 yards receiving and no touchdowns.

Richardson, 27, is a former seventh-round pick of the Rams back in 2012. He spent two years in St. Louis before he was waived and later claimed by the Jets, but was unfortunately among the team’s early roster cuts.

The Texans signed Richardson in 2015 and was on and off of their practice squad for most of the year before being waived and later signed to the Browns’ practice squad.

The Steelers signed Richardson to a future/reserve contract with the Steelers last year, and he was on and off of their active roster before being claimed by the Jaguars.

In 2016, Richardson appeared in three games and ran for seven yards on two carries to go along with no touchdowns.
