Redskins Worked Out 3 Including S Josh Evans

Jeremy Fowler of ESPN reports that the Redskins brought in free agent S Josh Evans for a workout on Tuesday.

• According to Adam Caplan, other players the Redskins worked out include: G Mackenzy Bernadeau and S Jerome Couplin.

This is the first reported interest in Evans since he became available close to a month ago.

Evans, 25, is a former sixth-round pick of the Jaguars back in 2013. He was in the final year of his four-year, $2.289 million contract and set to make a base salary of $675,000 for the 2016 season when the Jaguars elected to cut him loose coming out of the preseason.

In 2015, Evans appeared in all 16 games for the Jaguars and recorded 53 tackles, a forced fumble, two recoveries and two pass defenses.
