Report: 1 Or 2 Teams Could Relocate To Los Angeles In Next 12-24 Months

Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk reports that the NFL is currently planning to relocateĀ one or two teams back to Los Angeles within the next 12 to 24 months.

According to Florio, this would allow teams to announce their intention to relocate during either theĀ 2015 or 2016 offseason.

For the time being, aĀ team could play in eitherĀ the Rose Bowl or the L.A. Coliseum while a new stadium is constructed.

Florio mentions that the viable locations for a brand new stadium consist of:Ā theĀ AEG project in downtown L.A., the land owned byĀ Rams owner Stan Kroenke, Chavez Ravine, and a couple of locations that have not yet been publicly disclosed.

Ed Roskiā€™s site at City of Industry is not considered to be a viable destination, according toĀ Florio.

As for teams that could be relocated, Florio lists:Ā the Rams, Raiders, and Chargers. The Bills are excluded now that their sale is expected to be voted on sometime in the coming weeks.

There have been rumors surrounding all three teams possibly relocating for several months now, so the fact that they are mentioned in this report should come as no surprise.

It’s worth mentioning that all three of these teams have played in Los Angeles previously and could all use new stadiums.

We’ll have more updates regarding teams possibly moving to L.A. as the news is available.
