49ers Lose NT Glenn Dorsey To Bicep Injury, Possibly For The Season

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that 49ers NT Glenn Dorsey is scheduled to undergo surgery on Monday for his torn biceps injury, and is expected to be out for the season.

Matt Maiocco of CSN Bay Area confirms the previous report that 49ers NT Glenn Dorsey has a torn bicep, but adds that it’s still “undetermined” if he’ll miss the season.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that 49ers NT Glenn Dorsey is done for the season after suffering a torn bicep in this week’s practice.

Reports from last night mentioned that Dorsey left Friday’s practice with what appeared to be an injury to his left arm. It was obviously hard to gauge the severity of Dorsey’s injury at the time, but this is certainly disappointing news for the Dorsey and the 49ers alike.

San Francisco released their first depth chart on Saturday and they have Dorsey penciled in as their starting nose tackle. With the news of him being out for the season, Quinton Dial figures to be the next man up for the 49ers.

Dorsey, 29, signed a two-year, $6 million contract with the team last year and has a base salary of $2.3 million for the upcoming season. Dorsey as he will be an unrestricted free agent following the 2014 season.
