Report: 49ers To Hire Geep Chryst As Offensive Coordinator

Albert Breer of NFL Media, citing two sources, reports the 49ers are expected to promote QBs coach Geep Chryst offensive coordinator.

This comes just a few hours after new broke that the 49ers were hiring Steve Logan as their new quarterbacks coach.

It appeared as though Rob Chudzinkski could end up running the 49ers’ offense next season, but he elected to re-sign with the Colts on Tuesday.

The 49ers reportedly showed interest in Eagles WRs coach Bob Bicknell, but he also decided to remain with his current team.

Chryst has worked for a number of NFL teams in the past 15 years or so. He’s had stops with the Bears, Cardinals, Chargers, and Panthers before joining the 49ers back in 2011.
