Report: Free Agent DL Alex Carrington Visited The Browns

 

Update:

Scott Petrak reports that free agent and DL Alex Carrington visited with the the Browns.

  • Petrak adds that free agent OL Paul McQuistan also met with the team.

Carrington also has interest from the Steelers, Raiders and Rams.

Carrington, 26, has established himself as a versatile performer along the defensive line, despite being limited to three games in 2013 because of a torn quad muscle.

Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that the Rams “remain interested” in free agent DL Alex Carrington, despite the fact that he has not visited St. Louis.

Previous reports mentioned that Carrington was to visit with the Rams on Monday after meeting with the Raiders this past weekend. However, Carrington was still in Oakland as of Sunday night.

Ian Rapoport reports that Bills free agent DL Alex Carrington will be visiting with the Raiders Sunday and the Rams on Monday.

Carrington recently met with the Steelers and the Browns are believed to have interest as well.

Carrington, 26, should have a decent enough market based on his age, position and ability to play multiple positions on the defensive line.

Last year, Carrington was limited to playing in just three games after he suffered a torn quad and was subsequently placed on season-ending injured reserve.

  • Rapoport adds that Pittsburgh is “really interested” in him.
