Bears Re-Sign CB Charles Tillman

Update:

ESPN’s Adam Caplan reports that Tillman’s one-year deal is worth just under $3.5 million.

According to Sean Jenson, the Chicago Bears have re-signed veteran CB Charles Tillman to a one-year deal.

  • Tillman recently visited with the Buccaneers, but wound up leaving without a contract.

There has been some talk that Tillman could be back with the Bears this offseason, depending on how things played out in free agency. He has been an extremely productive players for Chicago, so it’s good to see him back for another season.

Tillman unfortunately suffered a triceps injury last year and was subsequently placed on season-ending injured reserve in October.

He still managed to contribute 42 tackles, three interceptions and three forced fumbles in just eight games for the Bears.

We had Tillman listed as the No. 53 player in our recently updated Top 100 Free Agents list.
