Bears Announce Agreement With DT Jeremiah Ratliff

The Chicago Bears announced that they have reached an agreement with DT Jeremiah Ratliff on a two-year extension.

  • ESPN’s Adam Caplan reports that Ratliff receives a two-year deal worth $4 million that includes $600,000 guaranteed.

Ratliff played pretty well for the Bears after signing with them mid-season. The two sides met at this year’s NFL Combine,  it appeared as though a deal could be in place before the start of free agency, and that proved to be the case.

Ratliff, 32, totaled 9 tackles and 1.5 sacks for Chicago over the course of five games. Pro Football Focus gave him a below average rating last season, although he played a limited number of snaps.

Chicago should still be in the market for another interior defensive line in the coming weeks.
