Report: Bears Reach An Agreement With DE Turk McBride

Jeff Dickerson reports that the Bears have agreed to terms with free agent DE Turk McBride.

McBride, 27, spent the last two seasons with the Saints, but wasn’t able to have a big impact on their defense. He wound up playing only 141 snaps last season. He offers more in terms of pass-rush, than run-stopping ability.

This could be just a depth move on the part of the Bears, but there’s at least some question as to whether or not Israel Idonije will be back with Chicago next season. So far, there’s been almost no buzz surrounding Idonije and the Bears have an obvious replacement in last year’s first-round pick Shea McClellin.
