Mike Wright of ESPN Chicago tweets that the Bears do have interest in signing Seahawks ILB David Hawthorne.
Hawthorne, 27, is one of the best options at inside linebacker in this year’s free agent class and would be a great run-stopper for the Bears. Playing him next to Brian Urlacher would really help his overall effectiveness and could give them a long-term solution in case Urlacher starts to decline in the coming years.
Wright mentioned that Chicago should interest in him a few years ago so it will be interesting to see how serious they are this time around.
