Ian Rapopot of the NFL Network reports that the Bengals are finalizing an agreement with veteran S Danieal Manning.

  • Rapoport mentions that Manning will be able to work with his former DBs coach Vance Joseph who was with him in Houston.
  • Manning was expected to visit with the Chiefs, but Rapoport adds that Manning elected to stay in Cincinnati and get a contract worked out with the Bengals.

Manning, 31, suffered a hairline fracture of his right fibula and was limited to appearing in just six games last season. In 2012, he appeared in all 16 games for the Texans and totaled 77 tackles, a sack, two interceptions three forced fumbles and a recovery.

We had him listed as the No. 29 player in our Best Available Free Agents list.
