Aaron Wilson, citing a league source, reports that the Bengals have signed DE Sam Montgomery.
Montgomery, a former third-round pick, was waived by the Texans last season after he and a few teammates were caught smoking pot in a hotel room the night before a game.
He later signed on with the Raiders back in December of last year, but he only managed to last four days on the team’s practice squad.
At this point in his career, he’ll need an impressive training camp to secure a roster with Cincinnati. The good news is that he can go back to competing at 4-3 defensive end.
