Report: Bill Cowher Expected To Sit Out A ‘Few More Years’

Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that a source close to Bill Cowher expects the Super Bowl winning coach to remain on the sidelines “for a few more years” as he continues his career as a studio analyst for CBS.

Cowher has already been away from the game for a few years now, so you would have wonder whether or not he’ll ever coach again. Maybe he’s holding out for the right opportunity, or there just is not enough compelling him to leave television right now.

There were some recent rumors connecting him to the Redskins head coaching vacancy earlier this week, but multiple reports have since discredited the idea. You can expect to hear more rumors relating to Cowher returning to the NFL in the coming years.
