Report: Bill Cowher Will Not Coach In 2013

UPDATE:

Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that a source close to Bill Cowher expects that the Super Bowl winning coach will remain on the sidelines “for a few more years” as he continues his career as a studio analyst for CBS.

__________

Reports came out on Tuesday that Bill Cowher would like to return to the sidelines at some point. Gerry Dulac of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports that a source has informed him that Cowher will not return for the 2013 season and may not be back for another “four of five years.

  • Dulac adds that Cowher has been contacted by NFL teams in recent weeks and one of the those teams is the Cleveland Browns.

Cowher is reportedly “comfortable with his professional and personal life,” which is why he hasn’t been actively searching for a new opportunity in the league.

Cowher has already been away from the game for a few years now, so you would have wonder whether or not he’ll ever coach again given that the report suggests he could wait as long as five years before trying to return.
