Ian Rapoport reports Bills FS Jairus Byrd has been diagnosed with plantar fasciitis.
Byrd, 26, recently visited with Dr. Robert Anderson for a second opinion on his foot injury, although it remains unclear as to when he suffered the injury.
Byrd has continued to play through the injury, but wasn’t able to put in a full practice on Sunday. His status for Week 1’s matchup against the Patriots appears to be in question.
This is a pretty big deal for Byrd as plantar fasciitis can require surgery and force them to go on injured reserve. Byrd playing out the 2013 season under the franchise tag.
