Report: Bills & Lions Looking To Trade Up Into The Top 5

Ian Rapoport reports that the Bills and Lions are both looking to trade up into the top-five.

However, Rapoport adds that an NFL executive has informed him that both teams what a bargain.

According to Rapoport, their focus is on the No. 3, but doesn’t say if this is the Jaguars No. 3 overall pick or they are willing to part with a third-round pick to make the move up.

Last year, the Dolphins sent the Raiders the No. 12 and No. 42 overall picks to trade up to No. 3 and draft DE/OLB Dion Jordan, so it will be interesting to see if anyone is willing to offer more than that for a similar move.

The Raiders are sitting in the top-five and reportedly willing to trade out of their current spot, but the Bills and Lions could be checking with teams drafting even higher before considering the idea.

Sammy Watkins has been rumored to be a target for both teams as they’ve shown a good deal of interest in him throughout the process. However, if they’re moving up to No. 3 overall, they could be targeting someone like Khalil Mack or Jadeveon Clowney.
