Report: Broncos Agree To Terms With C Will Montgomery

Jeff Legwold of ESPN.com reports that the Broncos have agreed to terms with former Redskins C Will Montgomery.

Legwold adds that Montgomery will receive a one-year contract from Denver.

  • Mike Klis of the Denver Post previously reported that Montgomery was visiting with the Broncos.
  • According to Klis, Montgomery will likely replace Manny Ramirez as the team’s center with Ramirez returning to left guard now that Zane Beadles has signed with the Jaguars.

Montgomery, 31, was actually a pretty decent center last season, so it was a little surprising to see Washington cut him loose a few weeks ago.

Pro Football Focus had Montgomery down for playing 1172 snaps last season and grading out as the No. 15 center in league last season. He was a solid run-blocker, according to their ratings.

We have him listed as the No. 19 player in our Best Available Free Agents list.
