Broncos Officially Sign DE DeMarcus Ware

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that, pending a physical, former Cowboys DE DeMarcus Ware has reached agreement with Broncos.

  • According to Schefter, Ware will receive a three-year contract worth $30 million that includes $20 million guaranteed.
  • Schefter adds that Ware’s new contract will pay him $13 million per year and $250,000 more than he was scheduled to receive from the Cowboys.
  • Mike Garafolo reports that the $20 million in guarantees will be paid over the first two years on the contract.

Chris Bullock first reported that former Cowboys DE DeMarcus Ware will sign a three-year contract with Broncos as early as this afternoon.

  • Albert Breer reports that former Cowboys DE DeMarcus Ware has landed in in Denver for his meeting with the Broncos.
  • Breer’s sources are telling him that the Broncos are “the front-runners for sure” for his services.

Last year, Ware totaled 40 tackles, six sacks, one interception and a fumble recovery over the course of 13 games.
