Report: Broncos Expected To Re-Sign Veteran DE Shaun Phillips

Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network reports that the Broncos are expected to re-sign veteran DE Shaun Phillips this offseason.

Phillips, 32, was signed to an extremely low contract last season and was without a doubt of the biggest steals in free agency. The Broncos got him for one-year at $1 million, but included incentives that could have increased his deal $2 million depending on his sack totals.

Phillips produced 37 tackles, 10 sacks, one interception and two forced fumbles. He also helped to mitigate the loss of Von Miller at the start of the season, which isn’t exactly easy to do.
