Report: Broncos Reach An Agreement With P Britton Colquitt

Mike Klis of the Denver Post reports that the Broncos have reached an agreement with P Britton Colquitt on a three-year extension.

  • Klis adds that the new money included in Colquitt ‘s extension will make him the highest-paid punter in terms of annual average at $3.9 million per year.
  • Colquitt’s brother, Dustin, averages $3.75 million.
  • Adam Schefter reports that Colquitt receives $11.7 million in new money.

The two sides were reportedly in discussions a little over a week ago, so this doesn’t come as a huge surprise. Colquitt, 28, finished last season third in net punting average with 42.1, but Pro Football Focus had him rated as the No. 23 punter overall.
