Report: Broncos Tried To Acquire CB Darrelle Revis

Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk, citing a league source, reports that the Denver Broncos made an attempt to acquire CB Darrelle Revis after Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie reportedly turned down a contract offer of $54 million over six years.

According to Florio’s source, the Broncos offered Revis the same contract, but Revis declined as he was looking for $12 million per year.

Denver would later sign Aqib Talib to a six-year contract worth $57 million that includes $26 million guaranteed.

Florio mentions that sources have told him that Talib actually preferred to sign a three-year, $27 million deal, but the Broncos wanted the contract to include more years.

Revis is officially now a Patriot and Rodgers-Cromartie is doing his best to drum up interest on the open market.
